Saw him in Paradiso, Amsterdam, once. When the set was done, he asked for requests from the audience because there was some time left. I shouted SPORTSTAR and they started playing it. Haha I was so happy.

i remember being 15 and finding ‘alina’ off this album and listening to it regularly… that was the only time i paid alex g any attention. i’m nearly 20 now and only recently decided to listen to the whole album and i’m so mad at myself, i didn’t realise how much younger me would have needed and cherished this whole album! especially this track and bobby, those two are becoming instant favourites for me over the past couple months. even if i found those songs 5 years later, they still feel so true

Gets better every time you hear it. Kind of reminds me of 22 a million in the sense that how good the songs are doesn't quite hit you immediately but they have amazing longevity and emotional pull.
