Cale Carlson grew up on his family century old farm in central Nebraska. He started farming on his own by renting ground from a neighbor in 1998. Cale Married Megan in 1999 and they went on to have 5 Children. In 2012 Cale incorporated his farm business LEAAD Farms (which is the acronym from their 5 kids). Cale has a passion for the farm and family as it takes a team to handle day to day operations of a diversified farm with Corn, Seed Corn, Soybeans, Hogs, and Cattle. Cale believes that everybody has a story to tell and encourages people to share their experiences.

Nice way to fill in winter's slow time...Educational. 👍👨‍🏫. I remember when you were helping Laura improve the WiFi around the ranch...think that was Before creating your own channel. Good father!

You'll know if you left off the shielding gas if you look at the weld and it's covered in carbon and full of holes! Swiss cheese! We've all done that at one time or another. I learned welding in vocational school and did it for a living for many years until the pay was cut more than in half. It's still a talent that is always useful to have, just as being a mechanic, plumber, electrician, etc. and I've done them all. Sure beats having to hire others to fix things.

LEAAD Farms *You actually have a nice niche here. While other farm channels aren't doing as much for winter you're giving the viewers some good content from busier times.* 🚜 🌽

Love watching your videos. My wife and I live near Nashville, TN. I am from. north middle TN. She is a NE native from Schuyler NE, Colfax county. My father in law is a retired farming from born and raised in Schuyler on a century farm. When we watch your videos it reminds us of my in laws farm. Great to see an American family farm working day to day. Keep the videos coming. As my wife would say GO BIG RED.

All good stuff Cale. We appreciate your time and effort to record and edit the videos for us. How the heck could we not like Laura's Dad on video? 😀 Nothin' like really getting into your work on the combine. You need to include your wife in your videos more often!

Live dangerously without a net. wow lol Even a rock star while you combine corn and preform. Talk about multitasking. you are not done. you have a half an acre on the head. great video.

Hey, since you are regularly growing food grade corn .. do a video where you show/describe the differences in how crops are grown and harvested for general food grade, organics, and animal fodder and where the product streams diverge. I haven't farmed since the 70s and we kept all our grain on the farm for animal feed. A lot has changed in the food supply chain since those days and it would be interesting to see the current requirements/regulations. Include the business value proposition and challenges of each .. like Organic-grades grades of hamburger sell $6+/lb while regular beef is $3+/lb (and farmers get <$1.50ish for shouldering all the risk the weather etc throws at them).

You guys have the resources, you should buy or build a platform that can be attached to and lifted by forklift or telehandler.

If it wasn't for Laura Farms I wouldn't have known about your Channel

Probably a odd question but I'm curious... are roads surrounding the farms in your area ignored by the general public to keep them clear for the farmers and there equipment? In all the videos I've seen from you and Laura, it seems there's never traffic for you to contend with. Thanks for another interesting video! That Corvette looked like a lot of fun!
