I have always loved Tuba Skinny and Erica as lead singer but this is Maria Muldaur at her best. She has been around a long time and this is one of her Mephis Minnie tribute songs from her CD Richland Woman Blues. The whole CD is fantastic!

Tuba Skinny needs women. Maria performances very good. Women - motors of Tuba Skinny!

Completely different to the other performances with Erika.
But it is great. 😊 👍

Interesting that Erika sings it as an 18-bar tune, with six beats on the third bar and four beats on all the others. But Maria sings it as a 19-bar tune, with every bar having four beats.

I like the tuba. Nothing against John Philip Sousa.

Erika would have sounded like the original recording
