My dad had a 70 LS5 454 SS 4-speed in the early 70's. He traded it for a 4 cylinder Monza during a "fuel crisis". The lesson I learned is not to do what the crowd is doing or you might lose your big block muscle car due to politics.

I was 18 in 1970. Knew a guy that bought a new triple black white stripes 70 Chevelle LS6 four speed. 54 years later, I still want one, so know how you feel.

I don't know that I'd call that a "mint" 70 Chevelle....I would call it an "honest" 70 Chevelle. Like nothing to hide, ya know? I love 70 Chevelles! I have a really nice 67 Malibu Sport Coupe (owned her for the last 35 years) and if she heard me say that....man, she'd be MADD! Nice score, Dan. I think she'll come out great. The 68, and 69s have 4 head lights to. But 70 is the best of the best, everything changed in 71. PEACE ✌️
