Honestly, I think we have taken graphics as far as they need to go at this point. The next major leap in console tech should enable more realistic character movement, deeper interaction with the game environment, more character choices as well as resulting story branches, npc ai, and enemy ai. Could you imagine? Games like that would blow our minds. So far we have only seen glimpses.

My girlfriend just bought me a series X on September 4th for an early birthday present. Until then, I was rocking an Xbox One original. I'm excited there's something new, but I'm ok with waiting an seeing how it turns out.

I just bought a PC this week and man it’s awesome, I love how I have my gamepass on it and how it seamlessly works with play anywhere games. I can’t believe I’m saying this because I’ve been on Xbox since the original but with everything coming out lately I decided to slowly transition into PC because I feel like Xbox as a console won’t be a thing in the future and more so a marketplace and it saddens me too think that because I love Xbox but I think PC & Nintendo will stand the test of time. Let’s see how it all works out.

I had the frozen Xbox thing weekend also. I couldn't restart it and had to unplug it. Haven't had any issues since.

i really hate that the gaming industry seems to be going all in on graphics instead of using something like ai to improve the gaming experience. id rather have ai controlled npcs that properly react to my actions than a little bit more fidelity at a point where graphics arent even going to improve that drastically anymore...

Me and my wife’s Xbox did the same thing where we didn’t have any input with controllers one day… now it’s all good

Mabe Pong or Tetris at 8k 60 fps, but no splitscreen. Don't ask to much !

If I remember correctly the human eye can only perceive something like 78 FPS or some odd number between 60-100 FPS so I don't see why everyone is so fixated on 120+ FPS

Dude I had that same issue with my console too!!!! I thought I cooked it playing Elden ring lol
So I had to hard reset it completely and completely power it off. The Xbox button was flashing and nothing responded. I was in full panic lol
Then I powered it back on and it seemed fine after that lol

Someone wake me up when we have Sword Art Online style beds to lay in and hook up to for some fully immersive VR “Nerve Gear” style experience (just don’t let me get trapped in an virtual MMO and wake up a year later in a hospital with a feeding tube down my throat) 😂

This is how impactful the Xbox 360 really was coming into HD. Like, honestly, games are marginally better than that particular leap. I do hope the next generation is a larger leap than going to the 360 was because mostly, it's just incremental improvements at best.

Consoles are not cutting edge tech. If you need 60 fps to have fun, then you need a PC.

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday. Nothing would start and my controllers didn’t work. I also unplugged and everything was good

I have same problem with my XBox. Run the game, get back me to Homescreen and on second try game loads properly.
