Auli Uttarakhand | Auli Tourist Places | Joshimath | Auli Gorson Bugyal Trek | Blue Poppy Resort

Auli (Gorson trek) is a beautiful hill station located in Joshimath Badrinath, (Uttarakhand). Auli is mainly famous for its winter activities. Auli is known as the skiing paradise of Garhwal. It is about 15 kms from Joshimath. One special thing about Auli is that the Himalayan range looks very clear and beautiful from here.
Apart from Auli and Joshimath, in this video I will take you on a beautiful trek which starts from Auli which is known as Gorson Bugyal. It is a total of 6kms away from Auli. Ropeway facility is also available in Auli from where the trek starts. So if you want, you can also do the first one kilometer trek by ropeway. After one kilometer you have to take permission and a ticket for this trek from the forest department check post.
Before the check post, you will see a special attraction of Auli which is a lake. This artificial lake is one of the highest man made lakes in the world. When there is less snow in Auli, artificial snow is made from the water of this lake for the ski slopes.
There are no shops or resting points in the trek to Auli Gorson, only a small temple is visible before the summit point of Gorson Bugyal. This temple is known as Padiyar Devta Temple. From here the summit is just 500m away. Magical Himalayan Range visible from the summit point of Gorson Bugyal. Talking about the peaks visible from here, Nanda Devi Peak seems to be the most special. Apart from this, the peaks visible from here are Hathi Parvat, Gauri Parvat, Mana Parvat, Nilkantha Peak, Khatu Dhura, Drongiri Mountain etc.
After Auli you can visit the Math and ancient temples of Joshimath. Joshimath also known as Jyotirmath, Here is one of the four Mathas established by Adi Shankaracharya.
Apart from this, you can also see an ancient tree, Kalpavriksha and Narsingh Temple etc. in Joshimath.
