Cold Steel is no joke. Have owned many different blades from them and i would bet my life on any of them. Recon 1 folder, GI tanto, Trailmaster, Espada, Rajah, SRK. All bullet proof.

Gerber Strongarm is a good substitute. And you can buy about 4 of them for the same price. (Still an amazing blade though, just out of some peoples price range)

I got a coldsteel machetes that I've had for years. It's been ran over by a truck 2 times and I leave it out side all the time and it's still choppes like day one

I've given half a dozen of these away. One of my favorites, great hog hunting and camping knife. When I was a scout in the Army I would give them to friends or new guys who needed a good knife. Nothing fancy, but works.

As someone who collects falkniven, bark river, and other costly knives, I love cild steel, it took me a while to come around to them because of the price but when i did i was surprised, i was expecting like kershaw or gerber quality but the steel is simple so the heat treat is hard to mess up and they keep it simple and strong, 100% recomend the cold steel AD10 if you want a good folder
