You sure picked a great title, for this episode, according to Google it's a fungus called mycelium, it's a life cycle to the earth, it thrives in damp places, decomposition, as you mentioned, it has a large variety of benefits like agriculture, , It benefits the entire ecosystem, breaks down toxins in the soil, spreads nutrients, to weaker trees as needed, it's considered as
an underground web! There is so much info in Google about mycelium fungus.
But it sure is creepy! I wouldn't want to touch it! So Creepy!

I think the root like stuff on basement walls is some form of a lichen. It looks similar to old man's beard lichen, but growing on a wall.

Hello to the man on the balcony! The windows were nice in good condition! With the upstairs looking as it does, you'd never know there's an invasion down in the basement, a place I won't go, you know why, cause I'm 🐔 There's many good reasons why! I won't go. At--14:02-- Aspergillus niger-- mold== Can cause allergic reactions, lung infections.
For normal molds like in the bathroom you can use Distilled White Vinegar, put it in a spray bottle or bucket and mix accoupple of teaspoons of baking power & mix and use a scrub brush. You will need rubber gloves, a mask and goggles to clean the mold.
Vinegar & Hydrogen & Lemmon juice works good to clean normal parts of your home. Way cheaper, and ALOT safer for you & pets.
