Puja Khedkar Pushes Back Against Fraud Charge, Says UPSC Has No Power To Disqualify Her

Puja Khedkar, the former IAS trainee officer who was stripped of her role for allegedly misusing her powers, has challenged her disqualification, saying the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has no power to act against her.
In a response filed before the Delhi High Court on the UPSC's charges against her, Puja Khedkar argued that once selected and appointed as probationer, the UPSC ceases power to disqualify her candidature.

Sounds like she has accepted the charges against her - exceeding the number of attempts, but is now finding legal loopholes to overturn her dismissal. The case is clear as day. She was not entitled to the attempt that qualified her as "IAS" and even if UPSC couldn't figure that out, it doesn't mean that she should challenge her dismissal when UPSC is correcting itself retrospectively. So much for the common sense and ethics! Go DoPT, do the needful!
