Knowing God as Our Father – Dr. Charles Stanley

There is only one true God, but the Bible teaches that He has many titles and roles in your life. He is your Lord and Savior, the Great I Am, your Redeemer, Messiah, Deliverer, Physician, and King. Yet, when you feel lonely, weary, and discouraged, how do you refer to Him? When tragedy strikes or you find yourself in the middle of a terrible trial, which name for the Lord God is the most reassuring to you?

Never knew my human father. I am blessed to have a much better Father. I depend on HIM for everything, as well as Jesus and the Holy Spirit. They are my only family, everyone else has died. Without the Holy Trinity, I would be so lonely. Separation from them would be unfathomable.

I thank God for my Father in heaven. He has been with me every step of the way. He’s corrected me when wrong and helped me be a better man. While my earthly father was absent my Heavenly Father supplied all my needs. Today I stand as a Christian, Man, Husband, brother, friend, with character because of our Father in Heaven.
