When I was 7 I started have feels of "not actually being here" that got very intense. It terrified me. Tormented me at that time. The more I thought about it, the deeper it got. My hand in front of me didn't feel real at all, etc. I was still highly functional. I can carry on a full conversation without any clue how the words were coming through. "I'm not thinking saying these things. I'm thinking about how I'm not even here at all." Then at some point it would stop when I stopped focusing on it. I obsessively looked into dissociation and worked with therapists to stop it. Nothing worked. Then I shifted and tried to view it as a more (possibly) spiritual occurrence. How amazing is it that my consciousness can be doing these things. Maybe this is what it feels like to be fully in a my soul (or insert other word here) I've met only 3 people over the years that describe this same thing. All of them are terrified by it. I still want to figure it out, but I'm not terrified anymore... more curious... always.

There are quite a few times when I've convinced myself of the same but in the end, for me, it comes down to faith - it's easier to believe that there's something beyond our control at play because if not the weight of that immense responsibility would just crush me.

Just wanted to say that the simple fact that you’re having these thoughts, proves that you’re walking towards the right direction to find mental clarity. Your mind is reaching another, higher, level. There is so much we do not know. I started this expansion of consciousness journey a couple years ago, and it has completely changed the way I perceive and live life. My thoughts are : "Why not?" and then, "so what?" what would be the purpose of the simulation? reaching the skills of recreating life itself? But then why such a messy simulation? why do we have so many feelings? why are we so dependent on one another? Simulation or not, there still are plenty of questions to ask regarding our existence ( or whatever it is that we are experiencing)

If you're as competitive of a person as I am, you'll probably be asking : "How do i win in this thing called life? "
