I love your passion for God! My husband did the same as your husband, about 10 years ago. He likes his job now and his pay was cut in half. We have lived on one income for 24 years. We only make about $50000 a year. But God is good and helps us live a simple life. You guys got this!

Our son lives with us and pays rent. He doesnt feel the need to move out when he can just help by giving us rent and internet plus his own food, gas and insurance. He works part time but makes as much an hour as hubby.

When in time of financial struggle or adjustments, I always think of Job 1:21 - “Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.” Although it's not a verse about finance, it always reminds me to hold on to my faith and seek for his guidance for all is in his plan. I pray that God will guide you as your family go through this change. My reason is different but my family is also going through a change financially and I am quite nervous about it. After many years, my husband and I are expecting our baby in January. I've worked all my life and with the baby on the way, I won't be able to work which is cutting our household income. It makes me nervous as I have never not worked before but it's the right thing to do and will bring more joy. I hope your husband finds a job he enjoys! It's honestly so beautiful that your family is so strong in faith and that you care about his happiness!

I like hiw giu have it all laid out. Fyi the military disability and military retirement is increasing by 3.2%. i am 100% on the disability scale. Has your husband looked into increasing his rating up to 100% (idk his situation) but you can look into it. That vould add in a possible 1300 more a month. You guys are doing amazing and i love how you are not ashamed to give the praise back to God. Keep it up he will get the job he wants/needs.

Lisa, do you get a military discount on the cell phone? Your son gets SSI and so you qualify for the $30 monthly internet discount. All the utilities give you a discount if a household member is receiving SSI. Just a thought 😊😊
