I love the server issues. It's just like the original release! They have two employees to tend to maintenance and both of them are WASTED

Thank you for this. Long time D2 fan here. I've only dreamt of playing it handheld as a kid. Happy to find that I'll be able to live that dream. I've already bought it on PC but the ability to enjoy (seeing that it runs surprisingly well on switch) this game on the sofa while snuggling up is just too good to pass up. I wish they added touch screen functionality for the inventory and changed the way the inventory takes up the whole screen, the game doesn't pause and you can't see anything, the original or the pc version don't have that, I don't get why they thought that was a good idea. Scrolling through items on the ground with the right analog would also help a lot. Otherwise I'm actually impressed with how Switch handles the game, plays great

The online login was dead on arrival at launch but hopefully they iron it out with the servers going forward

I've been playing it in offline. It's still a bit astounding that they haven't learnt after the D3 launch debacle of the Login Boss and not just left it for timezone launch instead of all at once

I have D3 on the PC but I bought it on the Switch when it was released for the portability of it. I think I'm going to do the same with D2R, it just seems like the graphics are toned down just a bit but I doubt I would ever notice playing it in handheld.

For me, the winner is N64 on the go! Diablo ll looks good, might dip someday...back to Eastward!

At 02:40 you say: "The game does support full cross play across everything." which is flatout WRONG. You probably meant cross save, but that is a HUGE difference. Cross play means that you can actually play with people from other systems (which you can not in Diablo 2 Resurrected) and cross save means that you can use your save game on different platforms.

Good review, pretty accurate as far as I'm concerned. Only played an hour so far and only in handheld mode but omg I'm in love..lol personally think this a must own game for any fan of arpg's regardless of age or wether played before or not. Please release physical copy

My only complaint about this game on the switch light is the volume is lowered. Kind of strange. Awesome review

I'm tempted on getting the Prime Evil bundle on the Switch since you can get two full games, along with all the DLC. Plus, the Prime Evil is on sale right now for less than $20, just until Diablo IV on PS5 drops in price; hopefully, around the holidays.

I played so much Diablo 2 when I got my first laptop. So glad I get to play it again.
