Sanctification is both a position and a process.

The Bible says our old self has been crucified and it is no longer we who live, but Christ who lives in us. We are not just our old self trying to be better – so we can be holy/sancitified. We are new creations, holy & sanctified, living out a new identity.
.
However, at the same time, we are also works in progress, waiting to be completed at the day of Jesus Christ. While we are still in this world awaiting that consummation, we will continue to struggle, as we discover more and more how flawed and sinful we are, and yet, how great and marvelous the works of Christ on our sinful nature are.

In this journey of sanctifiication, let us continue to persevere in faith, not letting sin having dominion over us, finishing the race well, and looking forward to the day of Christ's return when we will see Him face to face.
