I'd like to support local media more, but when local media is extremely biased and constantly puts out garbage editorials that not only repeats, but expands on mainstream media lies, I don't feel like it's worth giving them my money. I think we need some kind of news aggregation with rankings/ratings on articles.

The problem here is that the people who are in power to make these positive changes do not want to make these changes.

Concerning social media, I kind of like it that YouTube offers other viewing opportunities based on my previous choices. What maybe would be helpful is if we were offered ways to keep a better ownership of our mind so we don’t go down the rabbit hole and get our time hijacked. In other words, it would be great if there was an automatically triggered engaging educational content to that effect, instead of ads, for example. Like learning how to recognize emotional hijacking and apply critical thinking, for example. This way, YouTube would not feel like they have to engage in censorship and we would have the opportunity to make truly informed decisions and have intelligent and fruitful dialogue. It would be good and responsible citizenship on the part of Google.

Why We Are Polarized by Ezra Klein is a great book to follow up on after reading Forward. Yang has great ideas, but even as he admits himself, he's amplifying many ideas from other like minds who are doing their best to come up with non-partisan solutions to help people.

The Forward Party needs to get together a team of people accompanying the candidate for 2024.  Here are some good names: Noah Chomsky, Tulsi Gabbard, Anand Giridharadas, Thom Hartmann, Chris Hedges, Larry Lessig, Robert Reich, Bernie Sanders, Marianne Williamson, Elizabeth Warren, Richard Wolff, etc.  Millions of people would recognize the positive strength of a great team supporting the candidate of a new party.

Question. The SSN has 1bn possible numbers, right? So maybe use the reissue of ssn's to make a new ID that people need to register for. Then that is the new voter ID. Sounds simple to me. Thoughts?
