I shall arrogate the opportunity to congratulate this marvelous group on behalf of the master composer and saxist John William Coltrane for a prolific performance by each artist.

Each soloist takes me off my feet, figuratively speaking, especially the lyrical trumpeter, pianist and vocalist.

Trane is a spiritual messiah to me. This performance is so wonderful that I think it should be a blessing to all who really hear it.

Don't get all the arguing over the guitar solo and no mention of Janice's AWESOME version of this song and her scat solo. I studied at her jazz camp many moons ago. She is one of the best! About the guitar solo - he just needed to turn down and stop his solo before it dragged on a bit too long.

Janice Borla is a great jazz singer who is a scatting wonder, improvising on true jazz songs. Her mannerisms are similar to Betty Carter and Mark Murphy, not rappers. She has brought together a great group, in particular trumpeter Davis, guitarist McLean, and drummer Mouse. Check out "Simeon" from this same concert.

If it was John Scofield in this same video, with the same band, playing same solo, ya'll haters would LOVE it and would call it Jazz! Get out of your boxes and appreciate MUSIC!

Hi, can someone help me get the lyrics for this song? This is what i think I heard: Morning, rising, brings sunlight, and silence, ooh darkness ends before it’s too late
Sunlight is fading, cool moonlight takes over, hides us, Ooh darkness ends or life fades away

Thank you!

All this people here arguing and complaining about the distortion guitar.. they talk about rock. Maybe they never heard about fusion..
People like Allan Holdswort, Pat Metheny (this sounds very close to him) Scott Henderson and many others.. I still don't know how today such a lot of people talks of something just before deepen and knowing something...

Her movements remind me of live rhyme rapper.

that guitarist... way too heavy. it ruins the overall feeling of the whole jam. everythings smooth and swingy, and then he comes with that sorry, but for me, that was no jazz.
