If i replace shaft. How important is to put in corect position ? Or engine will calibrate ?

Thanks a lot Zeiten for sharing all your videos and this one in particular. Because even if I understood the principle of Valvetronic after reading BMW tech documents and after viewing a lot of pics, I still had doubts. 20s of your video later, I don't doubt anymore :)

I've recently bought a N62 E53 X5 with many problems including motor problems, I'm almost sure there is some wear with it's gen 1 Valvetronic system but I've not removed valve covers yet (more urgent to do on this cheap X5 with 300 000 km). Is it easy to see (eyes) and feel (fingers) the wear on the intermediate levers and shafts or somewhere else? (I hope my intermediate shafts tooth aren't dead).

Btw, what engine did you use for this short video?

I know these improve fuel economy but I wish bmw just stuck to the traditional mechanical vanos so much more reliable

Hey unrelated to the video but I have a rough idle on warm starts only, the rpms dance then return to a normal idle 10 seconds later. No codes stored. What could be my issue? I was thinking that maybe my fuel injectors are leaking since it only happens on start up when the car is warm. The engine is N52

Have an n55. Have a no movement identified code. Replaced actuator, shaft and harness. Checked connection in trunk. I wanna die at this point.
