iPhone 11 Pro vs Professional Camera - Portrait Mode

This video is just for fun to see how far the portrait mode has come. *iPhone images have no editing and A7iii images just had exposure adjustments*. I was surprised that they both had similar AWB. A lot of the bokeh issues can be fixed by using an APP called Focos. Check it out! I will probably make a video on it.

Wow I am quite impression with the iphone pro in good lighting but in low light the camera sensor has the advantage.

This only shows how good the iPhone’s new camera is, you are comparing it with One of the best dlsr out there and the iPhone keep it UP, you are not helping the dslr with this video, because altought the dslr is a best camera the iPhone gets the job done and also you have a little and powerfull computer in the palm of your hand and also a phone.

What makes a photographer is NOT the tools he has at his disposal - it's how he works with the tools at his disposal. That being said - as a photographer from the very early days of digital photography, the quality of this 12MP sensor on a phone vs where we were 7-10 years ago is AMAZING! The point of a camera phone is not to replace a larger sensor/expensive lens setup - it's there to help the photographer in moments that are not expected. I do not carry around my rigs every day - and I completely appreciate the fact that I have a camera in my back pocket that is doing things a DSLR (Digital) could never have done 10 years ago. Be a photographer - take pictures, convey moments.

I think it’s pretty impressive how good the fake bokeh looks now. You can still tell it’s artificial, but it looks a lot more realistic than just blurring out the background

This is why we need a proper OS and AI in our cameras, and yes I know the most important thing is skills, but we’re in 2019, just imagine the best DSLR with amazing software. I personally prefer the iPhone pics in this comparison.

Both cameras have their pros and cons.

Some shadows just dont look good and some of the lighting don’t look good.

So, I guess it really depends on the lighting situation.

With perfect light conditions the phone can take good pictures.When you don’t need to crop or print large format or edit or or or.
