I was on way already assembling the hypercube from tech2c but, this is definitely the way to go!! I was going dual Z with 12mm rods and I see this build fits my needs very much. Thank You!!

Hi Scott, nice job! Have you given any thought to using 4 z-axis lead screws (one on each corner of the build plate) each with a timing pully and ganged with a large timing belt loop around all 4 pulleys, then drive all of them with a single, beefier NEMA motor? I'm thinking it may be a bit cheaper than using the linear slide rods and dual-z stepper motors.

really nice job designing the parts mate ive been considering converting mine to dual z axis since i built it works grand as is but I always thought it would be more stable to have it supported both sides

Awesome build and design.. Any consideration regarding 0.9 degree steppers and one of the 32bit controllers?

Have you considered using carbon fiber tubes instead of the linear rails? :)

What do you think of using M8 "standard" lead screw instead of those you seems to have used ? Will they be OK ? They are wayyy cheaper than "printer lead screws" ??
And if I'm going the dual Z version, what about 8mm steel rods instead of 12mm ? I think that with dual Z, the mechanicals constraints won't be so high ?

Hi I tried to follow this however I can’t see how you fit the four 420mm in between the others it just doesn’t fit if the internal is 410

Hi Scott. In this video you mention M6 screws but the BOM on Thingiverse only has M5 and M3. Please advise.

any advantage of the optical endstops over micro switches? I know micro switches wear out eventually, but are a hell of a lot cheaper too

Hi Scott, could you maybe let us know which RAMPS board you're using with the due?
