⬇️RECIPE⬇️ NUTELLA PUMPKIN BITES ~ they are perfect for Halloween, especially if you want to make something last minute. It literally takes a few minutes to put it together and then bake.

Ingredients (yields 6 or 9):
1 sheet of puff pastry
Nutella
Ferrero rocher (optional)
Milk to brush
Avocado oil
Cooking twine

Instructions:

Preheat oven at 390°F

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, set aside.

Thaw puff pastry following the packaging instructions. Slightly roll it out using a rolling pin. Cut into 6 or 9 pieces. In the middle place 1 1/2 tsp nutella and one ferrero rocher (if desired). Brush the edges with some water or milk and seal, giving it somewhat a round shape.
Fill a small bowl or saucer with some avocado oil (you don't need a lot, maybe 1 tbsp). Grease the cooking twine (this will prevent the twine to stivk tonthe dough and much easier to take off once baked) and then wrap it around each dough ball (you need to get 8 sections).
Place on the baking sheet, brush with some milk and bake for about 12-14 minute. PLEASE always CHECK because every oven is different. Make sure they don't get burnt on the bottom.

Once ready, remove the twine (cut it with scissors) and place one pumpkin seed in each of them to mimic a real pumpkin

Notes:
-you can substitute avocado oil with any neutral oil you have in hand.
-if you don't have pumpkin seeds, use cinnamon sticks or pretzel sticks.
-when folding the puff pastry to form a ball, make sure to not overlap a bunch of dough, too many layers may not cook through.
- when rolling the dough don't stretch it out too much, you don't want to break it.
-you can easily make 9 instead of 6, they will just be smaller, adjust the nutella amount if so.
