nice job on the tie. I would have loved to see how you manipulated the hackle used for antennae. The description alone was a bit confusing. Thanks though. I'm going to give this fly a try right now.

Have you personally seen trout or steelhead take the October Caddis fly on your river? I've seen the adult October caddis fly on the Deschutes river in Oregon, but the adult O. caddis didn't land on the river surface long enough for the trout to take the actual fly during the hatch. Would the pupa be the more appropriate fly during the hatch?

I’ve tied a similar pattern but with Antron yarn instead of dubbing. It’s a little trickier than tying it with dubbing but very doable.
