2 Roses
2 Egg whites

If you're afraid of the raw egg you can just do it like you would Swiss meringues. Simply put the egg white with sugar over a double boiler and whisk until the sugar is fully dissolved. Let it cool then dip the rose petals and set on wax paper or buttered surface and REFRIGERATE so the petals don't wilt. You'll get something with a bit more crunch and it'll look glazed. You can sprinkle coarse ground sugar or sugar crystals over it if you want that look.

my grandmother used to make rose petal jam all the time, they're not unsanitary as long as they are cleaned properly and frozen before use. It was the most yummy jam i had ever tasted, sadly she passed away before she could give me the recipe

I like to see the picture at the end first, because it's higher quality and prettier than the thumbnail, then I hit the replay button to watch how he made it. Well only sometimes, I do like his method of creating the food and then showing the final product at the end instead of seeing it at the beginning. Congrats on making your dishes esthetically pleasing.

From what I can tell, the rose pedals have the aroma of a rose, so if you were to eat the roses in this recipe, they'd be a little sweet and have a very strong rose aroma. I'd say they'd be pretty delicious on a cake served in the spring, or on some romantic occasion.

You should absolutely use organic roses for this. You don't want to be ingesting all the nasty pesticides and other chemicals they spray on the regular roses.

did you know that chestnuts were used in old times as one of the primary food ingredients? Then some guy discovered that if you boil a potato, its actually eatable. So maybe if you eat a flower it might taste bad and hurt your stomach, but if you pick the right flower and give it a twist in the flavour it actually might become a delicacy

Rose and rose petals are actually quite a popular food ingredient in Asia, though it's more commonly used as an extract in the west.
