My friend I don't understand, what is the purpose of the Autonomous database that you created in the beginning? As you installed MySQL server in the instance in the end...? Is there any connection between them? Is the data you entered to DB at the end of the video going to the Autonomous DB server?

It's a nice and detailed tutorial. Can you just let us know, how can we configure the firewall in such a way just to allow that 3306 port connection and keep others secured.

This was a very good guide for 95% of the process. I had problems when it came to connecting: The firewall did not let itself get turned off. I circumvented it by opening port 3306 in the firewall. Is this a problem? I have the iprange filter activated anyways.

In this tutorial to connect with Mysql Workbench you disconnected the firewall, but at the end you didn't say anything more about it, didn't you have to re-enable it manually??

This sounds interesting, but I would be a little scared Oracle might suddenly enforce some connection or traffic limits. Are there really no limits of how many requests per minute or volume of data such a database could serve on a entirely free server?
