Sea of Thieves: A Pirate's Life Showcase

Sea of Thieves Season Three launches later this month, and with it comes Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life – an epic original story that brings Captain Jack Sparrow and his crew sailing in from beyond the horizon to spark new adventures spanning five narrative-driven Tall Tales. This special Xbox broadcast caught up with the teams behind this magical collaboration to offer some rousing insights into its creation. Team members from both Rare and Disney talk freely about the vision, the ambition, the care and attention poured into every aspect of this dream crossover – and just some of the features they’re most excited for fans of both franchises to experience.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can also enjoy series, movies, including Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl” and Originals, including Marvel Studios’ “Loki”, with a new 30-day trial to Disney+ via Perks*. If you claimed the initial Disney+ Perk or not with Game Pass, Ultimate members who do not currently have an active Disney+ subscription will be eligible to claim the 30-day subscription trial through the Perks Gallery on their Xbox console, on the Xbox app for Windows PC, or through the Xbox Game Pass mobile app on iOS and Android. Once the Perk is claimed, members will be directed to the Disney+ site to activate their subscription. Members can claim and activate the trial now until September 30.

For those upset that Johnny isn’t the one voicing Jack, I want to make it clear that Jared Butler has voiced Jack Sparrow in nearly every video game adaptation of him since 2007, while I love Johnny depp myself, this shouldn’t be a surprise, even taking controversy out of the matter, he has never done a video game VA, it’s always been Jared for the video games.

This genuinely makes me want to cry because I grew up watching these movies with my mom and she LOVES Pirates of the Carribean, and I love Sea of Thieves (I love Pirates too but haven't watched them in years) but it makes me think of the good parts of my childhood and I am just SO excited for this.

The detail they put into adding the RIDE aspects of Pirates, the original of the Pirates franchise, into the game is astounding and as a theme park nerd makes me so nostalgic.

I absolutely adore all updates from QoL to complete overhauls I love it all so much!seeing the lackluster content updates getting so much hate like “dead/boring game”and then Rare reveals why that is the case with this big slap in the face of those people
