Overcome your fear solo EASY carry a magnum revolver and a 8" blade survival knife. Also I always carry a proximity alarm(Ebay < $15) and solar garden light with motion sensor as well as a bright flashlight, first aid kit and mini cherry bomb firework. When I hear a noise I light one and throw it out of my tent/RV window if the bang does not scare whatever is outside then it is magnum time.

Story 4, the man with the 1, then 2 beings sounded more like dogmen than hell hounds. Ive seen both, hell hounds only 1 time in my life, DM and Sas, along with their families, many times. The DM could have orange or red eyes. The hell hounds look very different. The description he gave sound more like the DM. ;) stay safe! Yep, i know it sounds crazy...just telling ya what i saw..
