Turnigy Evolution // COMPLETE Betaflight Multirotor Setup Guide 🏫

Quick review and setup of the Turnigy Evolution transmitter. I show how to bind and do a complete multirotor setup in Betaflight configurator.

This is a light and compact radio that will be great for beginner multirotor pilots. Price is fantastic and a receiver is included as well. Additional receivers only cost $10.

Definitely worth a look if you're looking for something more progressive than the old, heavy Taranis. I will be using this transmitter extensively in the coming weeks to see if this can actually replace the Taranis for day-to-day flying. Stay tuned for more videos.

Albert, Great video! Considering switching from Taranis to Evolution.

Should I get the FS-A8S to solder inside my QX90 F3 Board or should I just get the Banggood iRange 6CH Flysky Receiver? pros/cons?

Also, isn't having no trim buttons make flying a complete pain? Say I'm flying my QX90 inside with horizon/auto level mode and it's drifting. I would think trimming on the touch screen while controlling sticks would be disastrous or almost impossible. Currently I have to trim almost every time I fly the QX90. The no trim buttons seems terrible, can you correct my thinking on why it's not?

Is the S-BUS inverted like FrSky receivers?
I'm connecting to naze32 rev5, which I don't think accepts inverted sbus, so I'm hoping not.

And I'm really curious to see how often you reach for your taranis instead. Obviously in a different league, but how often are those extra features worth there weight?

i came from your other video; i use mission planner for my pixhawk autopilot. so this will not be good for me or does it have nothing to do that.

Can not get an arm switch to show in beta flight, not sure what I’m doing wrong I followed along with your video, but still won’t arm, everything else works pid, all other settings are good, but won’t light up an arm switch in modes on beta flight, I think it might be a mapping issue but I’ve tried to rename channels, still know luck.
Any friendly advice would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for the video. I have question. I followed your steps for setting up failsafe but it doesn't seem to work. when I turn off the tx the motors continue to spin. is there something else that's not covered in your video?

The bind cable usually goes on signal and ground so in this case sbus/gnd
