Augeri's best work by far....with all respect to his Journey contribution. Amazing vocal melodies!

One of my favorite melodic rock bands from the 90's. Nice to re-live all the great times I had with this album playing loudly in the background. Thanks so much for posting!

If this had been released in the mid to late 80's it would have undoubtedly been a smashing success. I can see this band expanding on this debut and becoming a huge Arena Rock sensation. Unfortunately for them, they came out in the midst of the Nirvana Revolution of the 90's and were largely ignored. Sad, because it is truly a Melodic Masterpiece and Steve Augeri's vocals are nothing less than amazing. Journey's first outing back in 2001 with SA on vocals was equally impressive and it's downfall was more a label that spent the $$$ to produce and record the CD, then when it came time to push it on Radio and in the marketplace, they abandoned the band because in their words, it wasn't Steve Perry Journey. Even though the common excuse is Napster. Either way, Steve Augeri's presence in Journey from '98 to '06 revived the band and began bringing in a new generation of fans, who have just grown ever since. Thank you Steve, for everything you gave to Journey for almost a Decade. Without you, the band may have well died at Steve Perry's hip injury. Instead, we were blessed with a rejuvenated Journey and the second coming, Arnel Pineda. You were much more than a bridge in between. You are a true talent and a gentleman. I can say that because I had the pleasure of meeting you in Rochester, NY during the joint Styx/REO/Journey Tour.

I did an in store with this band in 1991 in Dallas TX. I had never heard of them, but we played the album all day to get ready. Everyone who worked there was given a promo copy and we all loved it. Still have my signed copy to this day.

Bought this on Import in the uk back in the day. I remember a review saying how they managed to make a top notch AOR record with no ( or virtually no) keyboards. Unheard of at the time. Brilliant.

I remember this album from my music magazine days in Cleveland in the early 1990s. Definitely hear the Steve Perry/Journey influence. No surprise the singer would go on to join Journey for a while. It's been a while since I listened to this, still have the CD somewhere, and now you can hear the whole album on Youtube for free. Times have changed. Everybody wants everything for free now.

Literally one of the greatest albums ever made. From start to finish there isn't one dud. Steve Augeri is a fantastic frontman and I would have given my left nut to have had a successor (in the early 90's timeframe) to their self-titled debut. Can remember coming across this in about 2015/16. One of the best summers of my life!

Saw them play in a little club in Savannah when this album came out. They were great! My buddies and I left saying if Journey ever needed a new singer, Steve could do it. This was years before he actually joined. I still play this CD occasionally.

Simply a great rock album which unfortunately went into the sunset and just faded away. Really not a 'bad' or 'dull' tune on this release. The production was very well done - Steve sings with emotive emphasis, the rest of the band drives and backs the vocals with zest and zeal.
