On February 14, 2018, a 19-year-old gunman entered Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, and opened fire, killing 17 students and staff.

Three and a half years after the incident, CGTN Stringer interviewed the parents of one of the shooting victims, Joaquin Oliver. They talked about the loss of their beloved son and what they think about the ongoing gun violence in the United States. They said Americans are coping with the gun violence by buying more guns, which is hard to understand.

It’s really sad to see people die and die because America protects their freedom of arms.

the indigenous people did not have border until the white European invaded & set out borders.
The indigenous Americans have it native right to move across "border" no one has right to shoot them down. In fact, no one has right to shoot any immigrant. They should be processed according to the UN Charter.

The people of the US deserve to know how they got to this terrible point. My book FROM BABYLON TO HERE is an in-depth analysis spelling it out.

If the guy in the aloha shirt wanted to protect himself as he claims, he should lose about 75 pounds.

Great and nuanced reporting. They showed the both points of view, and therefore make it much easier to find common solution. If the american channels had similar reporting, probably the gun issue would have been resolved long time ago.

Murica, the land where corporations own the soul of the people. Consumerism at high efficiency and nothing is out of limits. Soon you will bazooka your neighbor cat because it just looks too darn cute, you can't stand it..

As long as the Congress continues to be under the firm control of the NRA lobbies with regards to the arms laws, nothing will change.

The rest of the world would be quite happy for the US to keep their freedom to own guns to themselves.

I am very thankful that I don't live in America. We don't need guns where I live and the vast majority of people don't have them and we feel safe.
