Formula Race Cars Left Abandoned in the Forest-Hardest trek to get Here

I found formula race cars left abandoned in the forest. This was the hardest trek to get here. These old formula 1 race cars used to be transported in these old train carriages but after the owner stopped racing, they got left in the forest. I had to army crawl and crawl on my hands and knees through mud, blackberry bushes and thick bamboo forests. I got so cut up and actually did get somewhat lost.

Nothing went right at all for this video. I literally had to army crawl through thick blackberry bushes, bamboo and mud. My arms got cut up so bad and I actually did get somewhat lost. And to top it all off, my memory card filled up so I didn't get to show the cars off as well as I wanted. Share the heck out of this and I will be posting an instagram story showing how badly I got cut up from this. Thanks everyone!

Through quite a bit of digging & talking to people within the racing community...these were most likely student cars. They most likely were used in training & the drivers would have been at the oldest 16.

Suspect they were used in some form of commercial racing situation such as Malibu GP in the USA. Notice the cars have a CVT attached to the rear of the engine - CVT is a transmission used in many forms of competition.

“Formula 1” not by a longshot. What you have there is a complete “Malibu Grand Prix” setup with two cylinder Rotax engines driven with torque converters. This setup with the train cars they may have transported the setup to large parking lots and set up cone courses around the country, or they just decided to store them in there after the fact.
Those Malibu Grand Prix cars were a hoot to drive with speeds near 100 mph. They make great AutoX cars if you can find them not abused! Great find, but not Formula 1-that was likely their Japanese Franchise Brand Name back then - they are absolutely “Malibu Grand Prix” cars, popular in the 70’s and 80’s before idiots and lawyers got involved.

I'm just going back to see some of your video's. This one intrigued me because I once worked for Carroll Shelby.

As mentioned below these are “ Malibu Grand Prix ‘ style amusement ride style cars . I still have my license from the 80’s when these were popular . Interesting find though, well done .

I see it's necessary to state it one more time - THESE ARE NOT "FORMULA 1" cars. They are formula cars from an entry level but not in the USA. Possibly Japan, Europe or South America. Cool find, though. They still could be re-habbed for vintage racing, track days, etc.
