They need to sweep the Marlins this weekend, especially the way the braves are playing.

Somehow, for a rookie in a pennant race, in what (considering this city's history) is high pressure baseball bastion, Nick Plummer keeps being relevant. Puts the ball in play on the 8th, doesn't get overwhelmed by the situation. Don't overlook the fact that Plummer being in right, having to play the ball on that tricky corner against that abutment, gave the 3rd base coach the notion a rookie outfielder wouldn't be able to corral it. As it was, Plummer picked it up awkwardly, and SHOULD'VE made the throw to the plate himself

How can the Mets be so injured and then the Braves go 14 games straight?! HOW?! Such awful luck.

Excellent game, especially the last two innings. Canha's 2-run homer was the best.

we need to, again, address this teams tendency to send players back onto the field who are clearly, not ready. How many times over the years have we seen guys come back too early only to see them injured again? Maybe thats not what happened with Tylor but the pattern is there and its worth addressing. Between the Giants and the Mets im not sure which is worse with the damn injuries

92 degrees out today here I. NY, you can bet your cash that Buck has him out there (( Plummer) early and often today, working on the fundamentals of playing that hop and making that play. If that's what Buck does, then NP should be tickled pink they're putting that time into him

Not the 3rd Base coach's fault. If he slid feet first, instead of whatever the hell that is: side first with feet towards the 3rd base dugout??? He would have been safe. His shoulders are in the righty batters' box when he gets tagged. If his legs were facing home plate, he's safe before the tag is applied.

A depressing game. McGill’s in trouble. And whether it’s the injury or just a return to who he was, Lindor is barely breathing. He has no business being where he is in the lineup but they’ll never move him - he’ll give it the thumb’s down. He’ll still have 45 RBI in August. Mets will have to get another starter.
