When you put a $350,000 gold Patek Philippe Nautilus next to a $30,000 replica, is it even a fair fight?

In this video, Charlie takes a fake Patek Philippe watch made out of actual 18K gold and compares it to the real Nautilus ref 5980/1R-001. The authentic version of this watch is a very coveted piece that has seen its price quadruple since 2018, so making a counterfeit version of this luxury watch is no small task. In fact, most fake watches are nowhere near the price of this gold replica and counterfeiting gold watches is difficult because of the high density of gold (thus the reason why this replica was actually made out of real gold).

Nevertheless, you'll see that in the end of the real vs. fake battle, authenticity always wins!

I purchased 5711 Nautilus about six months ago, I owe few originals (GMT, Aquanaut 5167), I must admit, after getting this rep I don't see the point of buying genuine anymore. This watch is so identical that it would be impossible to spot unless you are very experienced and even then it won't be an easy task. The rep in this video is really low quality.

The top of the line replica nowadays won't cost more than RMB4200(USD700-800).
They'd fixed most of the problem. The only thing they still need improvement is the movement. The window shows the movement so u can tell right away.
While I don't recommend people to buy fake watch, in reality not everyone can afford a Patak Philip. If they can get the same look with only a few hundred dollars they'll still go for it.

This fake watch sucks if the chronograph doesn't function but seriously there's some crazy accurate fake Rolex out there, all the models and they're spot on. I'm afraid to buy a modern Rolex right now (unless it's from CRM of course) actually there's even "super clone" Seamasters- you can't tell!
