This needs to stop and those politicians who let this happen need to be prosecuted and removed without tax payers funded retirement

I bet these people are going to get more assistance worth way more $ then most of yall make actually working in a year.

That's the most frustrating part, illegal immigrants get more benefits then actual citizens.

How did Haitian refugees get to Del Rio, Texas ? They didn't swim. How the hell did they get to Brazil and Argentina for that matter ? And then they just walked to Del Rio? Somebody took them off of that island, I didn't do it. Something fishy going on here.

It's sad Texans have to pay for this disaster with their tax dollars. Not fare.

Any Haitian who went through Brazil is not a valid refugee. Brazil is safe for refugees. You don't just get to pick and choose what country you want to go to.

If only the world were a more peaceful and stable and safe place. If it were...then...there would be no migration PERIOD. People should feel safe in their own country....and now the question remains...do Texans feel safe now? And this is why GLOBAL affairs are important.

The World Health Organization cites diarrheal diseases, HIV/AIDS, meningitis, and respiratory infections as common causes of death in Haiti.[403] Ninety percent of Haiti's children suffer from waterborne diseases and intestinal parasites.[404] HIV infection is found in 1.71% of Haiti's population (est. 2015).[405] The incidence of tuberculosis (TB) in Haiti is more than ten times as high as in the rest of Latin America.[406] Approximately 30, 000 Haitians fall ill with malaria each year. Food or water-borne diseases include bacterial and protozoal diarrhea, typhoid fever and hepatitis A and E; common vector-borne diseases are dengue fever and malaria; water-contact diseases include leptospirosis in 80% of the population.
