Lego Harry Potter Triwizard Tournament: The Black Lake build & review

So.....I did totally just buy this set so I could have the mermaid's hairpiece. But there are a lot of very nice colours in the build, and the minifigures included tell the story of the Black Lake part of the Triwizard Cup nicely. But I feel that I'm going to be parting this set out into my collection pretty soon.

I tend to geek out about new pieces, get excited about learning new and interesting building techniques, giggle too much and just generally ramble. This set looks so cool. I’m in a Harry Potter craze right now and I am mindblown with how much the Lego sets cost. 6:04 they wouldn’t die. They would be captured and rescued. Dumbledore is bad but would never purposely kill a child

When Ellie does builds like these I really enjoy them and being a potter head i absolutely love them
I hoped lego would release a triwizard tournament set and it is now true!!!

Don't worry about commenting on the colour scheme, I like it as well 😂 and I absolutely love the mermaid's hairpiece. Actually, it would be perfect for my minidoll avatar (although LEGO still doesn't do justice to people with honey blonde hair), so I need to check out if someone sells the piece for a reasonable price. ~Wavey ;)

In the movie, moody gives Neville a book and Neville made a gilyweed potion, but in the book dobby gives Harry just the gilyweed. So in a way you were right

they wouldnt have drowned, they were just told that, hermione said after that harry was stupid for waiting and did he honestly think dumnbledore would have let them drown. and there was def no gillyweed potion.

Amazing set! Will definitely be picking this one up! Sleeping hermione sort of looks like she's crying, though... Maybe dumbledore is the villain if he is chaining kids to an underwater creepy mermaid thing??

In the movie, dobby gives Harry the gilliweed but in the book I'm pretty sure Neville brews him a potion because "moody" gave him a book with different plants to ensure that he will help Harry and Harry wins the competition... So this is the point of the potion brewing station
