The curse of disrespecting opensource community is a silent killer, sooner or later your app will become known with the worst reputation and your devs will be ashamed of working on the app cause wether they like it or not, they owe their careers in software to opensource

A lot of business people like the "or else" methodology because they think "what can they do about it, no one's offended enough to sue a corporation"

It's terrible I know, but actually this is probably the case for most projects. Just consider how long the credits list would be on a node application, with all it's sub-dependences. I'm not convinced that most companies would maintain that list.

The licensing isn’t there to generate a bunch of lawsuits. It’s there so developers know they can make something better.
