Outbound: USS Kidd (DDG-100) is an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer in the United States Navy. She is the third Navy ship named after Rear Admiral Isaac C. Kidd, who was on board Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor, and was the first American flag officer to die in World War II.

"The three American destroyers named USS Kidd have all flown the Jolly Roger; they were named for US Navy Rear Admiral Isaac C. Kidd, not for William Kidd. The Jolly Roger flag was traditionally an indicative of a successful mission." Wikipedia.
However if I was in command of the Navy I would not allow anyone to use the flag of pirates.
