23:13 🖐️I could eat a ton of rice and not because I'm poor.
I'm dreaming about it right now.
Many Asians find a meal incomplete without rice.
I don't find brown rice as appetizing.
As far as washing the rice to remove the arsenic, is the arsenic on the outside of the rice or built into the structure of the germ and bran?
Seems California rice has less arsenic and Louisiana rice has more.
Yoshinoya 👍

47:21 Too much B12?
I'm not understanding this, seems more likely a lack of B12 could contribute to this problem.
Does this have anything to do with consuming cyanocobalamin rather than methylcobalamin?
1:10:03 Certified organic foods should be pesticide free.
Pesticides can be measured in the blood.
I suppose the NHS will not provide those blood tests.

So happy to know about this work. 45 years ago when I was in Uni we were dealing with the first mega vitamin claims and "Vitamin Davis"

I was with ya - up until we got to a what smacks a bit of victim blaming - and this is a danger with preventative medicine. There is a lot of good arguments for healthy eating, and healthy lifestyle and education. But suggesting that people are getting sick because they have a poor lifestyle is over simplifying things. It ignores the role that genetics plays in cancers or diabetes or even obesity. But blaming people for the over stressed health care systems that have been badly managed for decades is disingenuous. Yes, managing your diet and exercise if you are type 2 diabetic, or have fibromyalgia, or a family history of cancers - is going to make you feel better, going to make your condition easier to manage. But please stop perpetuating the myth that "it's your fault you got sick - you've been eating badly"
and yeah a diet of Mars bars isn't good for a but people are also entitled to a the occasional treat, we need to educate people that they ARE an occasional treat, but yeah take out the fat and colour and sugar and people won't eat them - because you effectively made them unpleasant. It's about balance. Teach balance. Remove the blaming language.
