That’s a room full of world-class young talents having a lot fun and being cheerful with the music. It was priceless.

Thank God for her recordings. To this day there is not a finer more beautiful musician.

It really puts our life in perspective that she was so young and she just dealt with her destiny. But her destiny is every moment she recorded or every live performance she gave. That is absolutely her legacy but beyond a legacy of most mere mortals

She was so heavenly absorbed into music her brilliance was higher than a talented person! She was already selected by heaven to come and play for earth💗🎵❣️

I want to know who gave this film a thumbs down?! FFS. Timeless musician. As Barbirolli commented, she was sent into the world ready made.

Love the clip the Trout with them all playing a different instrument. If you haven't seen the original film of their Trout quintet, it's a classic.

I had no idea she stopped playing at 28. Wow. As a 29 year old, that’s unbelievable. And that she died at 42. I had no idea.

These are my favorite instrumentalists from this period of time, except I also need Vladimir Ashkenazy, Glenn Gould and Fou Ts’ong in the mix! The Allegro Films documentaries about Ashkenazy, Perlman, and Zukerman are so outstanding that there just aren’t words, and every one of these incredible musicians exhibited (or exhibit!) happy, down-to-earth, humble personalities in the sense that they haven’t led “flash, ” jet set, superstar lives. And, I’ve never heard of prodigies deny they were prodigies, as Ashkenazy and Perlman constantly have!

Lovely girl, so happy, but struck down with the awful MS.
She died too early, because so much more could have been done for her today (2025).
Bless you, Jackie, your radiance still shines ❤

I was about to say, "there's something wrong with this picture..." but then I realized that even when they switch instruments they make wonderful music.

I love how Zubin Mehta said “Daniel out of tune” Well you asked a pianist to try a string instrument

I've read somewhere that Feuermann could play the whole 1st movement of Mendelssohn violin concerto in the original key. On the cello. Du Pre playing the violin reminded me of it...

I couldn't stand her playing I'm afraid, . She wrecked the Elgar for a whole generation by making it sentimental
