"you can see no one's checked the chores off, but this is def. something i'd reccomend" so cute and funny. I love your podcasts. My fave was the 3 tiered black wire stackable boxes.

I put my decanted spice jars in a drawer that’s deep enough for them to stand up. I labeled the lids. I can get the spice I need without having to move other spices in the way. I then added a piece of wood in the back so they don’t move when I open/close the drawer. As a side bonus it’s also prevented me from over buying spice blends. I’ve limited myself to what can fit in the drawer.

Thank you for not saying HER name- I still remember when you set a reminder for OUR Alexa to check the sourdough starter. Chaos immediately ensued, setting off our triple ADHD household: She had questions “when?” “Which device?”, etc. which distracted and annoyed my ADHD teen focused on a video game. My ADHD husband also had rather excited questions since we haven’t tackled sourdough yet. He spent the next several days down THAT rabbit hole, reviewing bread recipes and asking if I could resist the extra carbs in the house. By the time I got everyone settled down I had missed the rest of the video and could no longer remember what I was doing. 😂 (after the 3rd “Alexa” I do remember shouting at the video “OMG stop saying her name!!!” 🤣) These videos are usually wonderful at helping us contain and reduce our ADHD chaos, but cheese and crackers, not that day! 😆

You’ve given me some new ideas 🙂
I use the 3 level rolling cart as a cleaning cart and zip through the house like a hotel maid. It holds all I need (besides vacuum and mop) and rolls into a closet to be stored.

I'm commenting a lot, but a big YES to the three tier rolling cart. It makes a great sick/wellness cart. When someone is sick you can stock everything they need on the cart and roll it by the bed. I've Also made one for a bed cart. I have reading material, pens, notebooks and other things I use by the bed. In the morning I just roll the cart into my closet.

Little velcro straps for cord organizing & “hiding” are my secret weapon— or tiny hair ties!

Both are amazing for keeping cords from becoming a rat’s nest, which makes it easier to toss them in a drawer & find them later when you need them again! Also adore pencil bags/ little pouches for things like daily makeup & electronics that travel; also those tiny containers from the container store (you know, the large is the size of a deck of playing cards?) are perfect for storing small stud earrings, sewing needles, making a go kit for your bags, keeping track of removable straps for tops, etc.

I need to use quarters (US) to do my laundry and I find that my pill containers are actually really great for organizing them! I know how many quarters I need to do a full wash and dry so I count that out and then put them in the pill bottles. Now I know how many loads are in each pill bottle (they usually hold 2 each) and I can easily count up how much I have to do laundry that week and when I need to go to get more quarters.

We got clear large plastic containers for our garage and they have wheels and its been a great investment..We can actually find things in the garage now, and all the stuff my dad hoarded is now visible to actually be used .. Earlier my dad used to insist that cardboard cartons can store those things well enough..But ghey made things invisible, dusty, were non stackable and difficult to move around and small things always got lost ..Few months back i surprised my dad with sturdy plastic containers of various useful sizes and helped him declutter his workshop/garage ..And now him and my brother are making actual furniture in there and everyone is able to find the stuff needed for home repairs ..Lesson learnt -🎉People sometimes investing money to organise really pays off with peace of mind and productivity .

Cass, I have a suggestion for your spices. Since you can't see the label on the 2nd and 3rd levels, label the lids! Put the spices in alphabetical order and it will save you time finding the right spice on the 2nd & 3rd level.

You are so wonderful! I love watching your videos when I struggle to keep my home in order due to having narcolepsy. Sometimes I get so depressed and demotivated when my symptoms make doing the simplest things 100X more effort. When I feel this way, I cast your videos to my smart TV and put the volume on high and start cleaning and organizing. Your warm personality, softness, boldness, and sweetness makes it easier to accomodate my unpleasant feelings and your voice soothes my anxiety, and your positive attitude, optimism, encouraging spirit, and boldness to encourage us to action to fight for our homes to be a place of peace and serenity for ourselves and loved ones lift up my downtrodden spirit. You have helped me change my mindset to where I viewed keeping a tidy home go from a chore/annoying task I have to do to something I now love to do because now I'm driven by my values to do so....even when I'm struggling with my disability, this values driven love to work on keeping a tidy home has proven itself durable when I fell my worst and does NOT feel miserable in anyway anymore. You have a gift of helping others rise and I pray that the Lord will in turn help you rise 10 fold! Thank you for bringing love, compassion, empathy, and a spirit of courage with a can do attitude thru your videos to help those who struggle with clutter, organization, and keeping our spaces tidy.

Every time I see decanting into containers I want to point out that this works best if you can switch to buying in bulk, especially from a local bulk bin market. I take my empty jars down to the co-op and fill them with however much of the spices or whatever that I need, no throwing away packaging. Before the pandemic I could do the same at the grocery store. // I love re-using nice boxes as trays or dividers inside my drawers.

I put 4 cotton balls in those tiny containers & add aroma drops of lavender to smell when I'm stressed. It worked wonders.
Another thing to
put them on is
dice. Since it's see-through kids can play with it in the car without opening it.

I love the pop style of containers, especially for the elderly. My mom had her second stroke and can no longer use her left hand, so being able to open a canister is once more achievable.

For my "All Purpose Cleaner" I mix 1.5 cups of water, 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol, a squirt of Dawn soap, and 10 drops of my favorite essential oil. This cleaner literally works for everything: stainless, mirrors, stove tops, counter tops, bathrooms...on and on and on. Best of all it's CHEAP!

I never even thought about organizing my freezer! What a great idea. We just cleaned out our refrigerator and freezer. This video is perfect timing. You have so many comments so I doubt you’ll see this. Your weight loss surgery video really inspired me. I’ve jumped through all the medical hoops and I’m having the RNY gastric bypass in the morning! I’m nervous but also excited. I’m ready. Thank you. My home, and even my garage is decluttered and organized. Now to organize my body!

I've been using the container store multipurpose clear bins for 7 or 8 years. I use them everywhere in my house. The first big job I did with them was in my new upright freezer. It's a major game changer every time I use these in a new space. I also use the hyacinth baskets all over. To save space I have the metal produce baskets mounted in a row under my kitchen cabinets. No more fruit bowl or banana stand on the counter. I wish I had a pantry, but my kitchen is small and I just don't have a lot of space.
