As a Lush employee, this was embarrassing to watch.. Although the fact that you got the shape of the bath bomb to hold without it drying was somewhat impressive. A half assed job (not enough colour, not hand mixed nearly enough, random soap product, random fragrances, and not even an hour in a slightly heated room to let it dry so it can harden) will give you that half assed bath bomb.

It didn't work properly because you didn't make it right. I've seen DIY bathbombs and they look really good if you know what you're doing.

With those pale colours, did you really expect it to colour the water like the Lush bomb did? I don't know how long you let it dry, either. The mixture also looked too wet. I've made bath bombs and I don't buy Lush's anymore.

I think she just needed way more color added the lush one was way more pigmented if it had more color probably would have worked better.

I make bath bombs on the regular. She not only didn't add enough coloring, but as she guessed, she added a LOT of water. If you feel you've added too much water, let it stay out in half the mold for maybe a day or two in order to try and air it out. In her case, she might've been unable to air that out.

Also, LUSH bath bombs are going to be better regardless, as they use different pigments and more "quality" ingredients than the ones you'd be able to get at a store. Either way, this video didn't really show how good a homemade bathbomb can be.
