Messerschmitt Bf-109E Nr. 6-130 Remains after 1940 crash in Barcelona

After the Spanish Civil War, an air display took place in Barcelona - El Prati Airport, and then, one Messerschmitt Bf-109 Emil crashed there. It was a vertical dive and the plane went directly down, crashing frontally to the ground.

In 2004, while constructing the third runway for Barcelona airport, the wreck was found and partially saved.

In 2011, it was inaugurated the Spanish Civil War museum of La Senia (Tarragona), which was the previous base for the 6-130 plane.
