That is very good to know. And very nice coins.... Most of MD I have found have been in antique shops. Not the big antique malls but the Ma & Pop shops.
Great 👍 video 🤩🤩🤩🤩

I have a 1916 mercury head but the reverse does not have the fascia. It says One Dime in the center of the dime with olive branches on either side. What is the story with this dime?

Interesting fact: The reverse of Mercury dimes depicts a (Fasces) which is an image of a axe bound with wooden sticks. The basic symbolism meaning is Strength Through Unity.
The origins of the Fasces predate the Roman Empire. The story of the Fasces is said to be told by Aesop, a slave and story teller believed to have lived in Ancient Greece between 620 and 564 BCE. The fable is called An old man and his sons. The story goes...An old man has a number of sons who constantly quarrel with each other. As he nears death he calls them to him and gives them an object lesson in the need for unity. Having bound a bundle of sticks together (or in other accounts either spears or arrows), he asks his sons to break them. When they fail, he undoes the bundle and either breaks each stick singly or gets his sons to do so. In the same way, he teaches them, though each can be overcome alone, they are invincible combined.

Is there a mint mark on the 1941 mercury dime? If so we’re should it be. I found it in my pocket change and it in pretty good condition.

Hey JB, thanks for all the great info you share with us. I have been a follower for about half a year now and really have learned a lot about different things to look for in all the coins you show on your channel. I just picked up a coin that I thought you may be able to help me with. I have done some research but have not found anything yet. I am aware of die cracks but I have not heard anything about this particular coin. I picked up a 1944 S Mercury Dime in AU condition. It has what appears to be a die crack on the obverse running north to south on the neck and collar. I was wondering if you could shed so light on this for me. Thank you. Mario

My mother passed away and I have one that has the date covered up by what looks like extra metal. This could be a mint mistake. People have told me that they have never heard of this, but they said if it was a mint mistake then it could be worth a ton. Have you ever heard of this?
