Making a big change to the LS Miata comp car. hopefully it pays off

This is something I've wanted to try on this car for a long time, so I finally put the time in and did it! Hopefully it works as good as I think it will.

Hot tip for RTV from a former mechanic. 1x 2-3in long 1/2in square solid bar. 1 piece of thin (1.5-2mm) sheet metal roughly 1 1/2 x 2-3in. 1 decent sized bolt for a handle. Weld the thin piece on to the top of the block and the handle bolt to the bottom. Sharpen the three exposed sides of the thin sheet. To use it, hammer your new blade between the 2 rtv'd surfaces and then knock it around the outside of the flange to cut the rtv. ✌

I was a jet engine mechanic now an aircraft mechanic but on engines we used that all the time for our flanges of the ducts and some bolts that sandwiched the ducts together pretty cool stuff!

Been using Auburn and Richmond for years in offroad racing. Jumping shock load, never had a problem. Used to do welded but the snap back sucked. Lsd is predictable once you get used to it. Great product. You'll be fine.
