Tiktok hack goes wrong, Woman from UK burns her face while poaching eggs in Microwave

On July 2, Chantelle Conway smashed a raw egg into a cup of boiling water and microwaved it for 10 seconds.

"It was the greatest pain I've ever felt in my life, and I've had two natural births," the distressed parent explained.

To ease the pain Conway splashed herself with cold water, which medics later determined saved her from third-degree burns.

Conway has since documented her terrible recovery in a series of films in an attempt to deter other would-be egg microwavers.

it's good she is doing a warning video. I have been cooking eggs in microwave for years. But not poached. I just cook the egg, not in the shell though. From time to time the egg does explode, but that is when it is cooking, not when I remove it from the microwave.
