Thanks for talking about this aspect of Uni Presses. The readathon is all about celebrating everything Uni Press & encouraging others to explore this amazing bookish world. So of course this includes the publishers, subjects available and the actual books themselves. Your 10 books sound amazing, I have to add a few of them to my list. Fiction in the Archives sounds amazing. Erasmus' works sound amazing, too! I just discovered Loeb by Harvard Uni Press. I'll tag you in Tuesday's video for University Presses themselves. Of course you're welcome to do last week's tag for subjects because you have a specialty & it could be helpful for folks wanting to get started in your area of expertise. Of course all this is depended on your time. Best of luck in Geneva, it looks beautiful! 🥰

Oh wow, I think I found one of those University of Toronto Erasmus books at a used bookstore in the middle of nowhere in Wyoming. Almost bought it, but wanted to only buy books that I was head-over-heels for. Gawain and the Green Knight is great. I read the Marie Borroff translation and she also kept the alliteration and produced a beautiful translation. These are some interesting books. I might look into the book on sin and the book on St. Anselm. Thanks for the discussion of academic publishing!

I haven't read university press since I finished my master's degree 2 years ago! Lol. I'll check out your suggested works. I am reading confession of a child of the century right now :-)

oooo Anselm sounds interesting.
My English teacher always pronounced it GAH-win, which is interesting.

This was enlightening! Now I don't feel too bad for being turned down by The University Press of Kentucky (they have a poetry and prose editor.) LOL! I know it's your Alma Mater! Cheers!
