This story is based on this universal baggage that we all carry where outer looks deceive us from seeing what we actually should be seeing. Based in a small village in Bihar, lives a 20 year old girl Kuhu who is someone you would not even want to look at once. She is dark, unkempt and epitomizes bad looks and is considered ugly by even her own family. Dev Narayan’s search for a bride for his son, Sanjeev leads him to Hansini who is touted as the best looking girl in the village. Dev Narayan pays a hefty Maayas for Hansini satisfying a greedy Chandan Das and wedding of Sanjeev and Hansini is fixed. Kuhu is ecstatic and works tirelessly for her sister’s wedding like a servant going totally unnoticed. However, one day Thakur spots Kuhu who has some other great qualities and comes to know that Hansini has a sister too. He offers a maayas for Kuhu as well for his elder son, Rajeev. Kuhu is madly in love with Rajeev, who after regaining his eye-sight is back to his old hooligan self. The only focus is on Kuhu’s ugliness, what no one knows is that Kuhu is the only person who can free
this family of the curse…she has been given the blessing to be the kavach for this family..while this family is hell bent on getting rid of her. Kuhu is eventually thrown out of the house because of which the curse reignites. Terrible things start happening in the house, when Kuhu realizes that no matter how much she is hated there, she has to go back. One for the love of her life, Rajeev and second to save the family from this curse.

What will Kuhu do when the man she loves has started hating her?

How will Kuhu protect her husband from her own sister, Hansini who is all set to lure him?

This forms the crux of our story ‘Tose Naina Milaaike ’ which challenges the concept of beauty via an unattractive Kuhu who eventually wins and sets a new benchmark for ugly via the most attractive Hansini who eventually loses.
