Could someone please clarify/verify?🙏🙏
1. Are all current vaccines available formulated based on the alpha strain? or, are they formulated to address all Covid19 variants?
2. Is the alpha strain still the primary source of infection?
3. If the alpha strain has run its course, and the vast majority of new infections are thru variants, what purpose does it still serve for the unvaccinated to take an inoculation for the alpha?
4. Will the emerging variants require a newly formulated vaccine to provide protection, much like flu vaccines have in the past?
5. If so, based on past flu vaccine data, how will it be possible to develop effective vaccines with variants emerging as quickly as they are?
6. If science can not keep up the pace with effective vaccines, would it not be wise to invest more time and effort in effective treatment in addition to prevention? Something like Tamiflu? A medicine to relieve and mitigate symptoms and progress of the virus once it has entered the system?
