Transcription is recording a piece of music, usually with sheet music, that you are hearing. In this stream we address questions like:
Do I need to have a good ear for music to transcribe?
Do I need to know music theory well in order to transcribe?
What benefits are there to doing transcription?

Composer, arranger, orchestrator, pianist, and audio engineer. He writes in a variety of musical styles that include (but are not limited to) action, drama, comedy, fantasy, science fiction, horror, and classical.
