Any way to run gridzero without batteries? I want it to run off solar, but augment it with grid power, but not back feed the grid.

I'm looking to get this same system. One scenario I have not figured out though and maybe you know. There is this feature called offsetting, not an actual mode. Let's say your batteries where at 100%, you had 30 amps(potential) coming in from solar, and you had your DoD amps set at 10 amps for example and your current loads were 25 amps. Because no power would go into the batteries, would you still be limited to 10 amps coming in from the batteries to power the loads or would the system be smart enough to still feed the full 25 amps to the loads from the dc side? (minus the 1 amp from the grid)? I hope I am explaining this ok. Great video on how it all works though!

Does it need to have a clip around your grid "input" wire?
