Excellent graphics and explanations of basic principles of horsepower and torque. I'd like to see more inline sixes as they balance so easily without vibration and will make all kind of revs. The length of the block eases the addition of power-adders like turbos, nitrous, etc.

One of the best engine ever created by Japanese automotive manufacturer. Relatively reliable, highly tuneable, plenty of aftermarket parts to increase the potential. Thats why they still popular until now.

Fantastic explanation! Very inspirational to copy the good attributes of this engine. Now I must ask, could you do a engine comparison between 2 somewhat unknown engines? I've never seen them compared even though they perform so similarly while functioning completely differently. Fiat 126p & Trabant 601. You don't have to, obviously :)

Lesser known fact, the RB26 was also installed on 1700 Stageas. Essentially boats on wheels but very cool for lovers of wagons.

This RB is so crazy I can't help but just laugh like a crazy mad man when I see what they can do😅😂

Now we know why the RB26 is still the best Inline 6 Cylinder beast ever created by Nissan although the block with small crankshaft space with less vibrations with aftermarket forged Pistons and Crankshaft pushes from 8, 000 RPM> 240kmh to a whopping 11, 000 RPM> 320kmh. But don't get me wrong, the Toyota 2JZ has bigger displacement components per rpm cycle inside the lower block which the Crankshaft is housed. Also not to forget the 2JZ supports aftermarket Sequential Turbo Charging upgrades which alleviates turbo lag achieving boost at its best performance. Deep down in my heart, I love RB26 Nismo or RB26 V-Spec II.
