Kat Von D | House Tour | $15 Million Indiana Mansion & More

In 2021 Kat Von D announced she would be closing her famous tattoo parlor in Los Angeles after 14 years, and moving to Indiana for a quieter life with her husband Rafael Reyes and their 3-year-old son. It should come as no surprise then that Kat has placed her gothic-Victorian mansion in Hancock Park up for sale at $15 million which she’s renovated and added many unique features – including a blood-red swimming pool. However, Kat has made sure her new digs in Indiana are no less interesting considering she bought the historic Schenck mansion there which spans over 12,000 square feet of space and is known to be haunted.

My mom got married at the Schenk Mansion is 2018. My mom grew up in Vevay and so did us kids, saw the mansion a lot growing up, a lot of people talk about it being haunted, it’s not. My grandfather said he’d seen stuff as a groundskeeper but I’m pretty sure he’s just screwing with me.

Surprisingly great taste in design.. Even though Kat's personal style is very edgy and borders gothic grunge at times, the stately home looks very old money polished and conservative, her touches did not detract from the original aesthetic, they instead peacefully comingle. Go, Kat! I'm usually a fan of anyone with good design taste. LOL

Awesome! I don't have Kat's taste but love historic mansions. btw, you mentioned the "window watch" which is actually a "widow's watch"...the idea being the lonely wife of a seafarer could look all the way out to the sea to learn if her man's ship was coming home. Love your channel!

I grew up and still live in this area of small town Indiana. Looking forward to see what she does with the Schenk mansion and hope that she does open a tattoo studio. Love what she did with the home she’s selling and think that color scheme would look amazing on the Schenk mansion. Would love to get my first tattoo in her studio and would only drive 15 minutes compared to at least an hour drive to any other studio.

She has fantastic aesthetic sensibilities, extraordinary talent and has worked so hard with such drive whilst keeping her strong, non-conformist character intact. There's a great deal to admire and relate to. I LOVE the home showcased in this video.

On her Instagram she showed the renovation of her pool and its not the water that is dyed, she had the pool floor/walls painted red. Plus the red lights in the pool make it even more red, the water is normal pool water

Both homes are gorgeous in their own unique way EXCEPT I don't do ghosts and that blood red pool just isn't my style. She did/does have a black flower garden. Now that is cool.
